Nicky Gibbs, at Crofters Kitchen in Noordhoek, opens up her home for the most intimate relaxed lunch experience, where your organic culinary journey starts at the seedling stage. Nicky’s loving hands have reared each and every plant to bring the ingredients from her garden and region, to your plate. Our amazing coastline location allows Nicky to forage for the freshest sustainable sea-life. Nicky will prepare the harvest with inspirational fusions from all over the globe, which will whisper to your soul. Interesting combinations from what is seasonally available are prepared.

Fine Wine Tastings with a Private Sommelier 

In the comfort of your own villa, Head Sommelier of famed Cape Town restaurant ëlgr, Le Roi van de Vyver, will bring the best of the Cape winelands to you! Le Roi has an enormous passion for local wines and is an ace at discovering new wines and rare vintages; he also has a knack for storytelling that brings each and every wine to life at the table.

Choose one of three options (priced at R2 500 per person, R4 500 per person and R6 000 per person respectively) that will include tasting 4 - 6 of the region's finest cultivars and blends, and a variety of themes, with a minimum of 2 people. Please contact us to book this experience. 

Wine Master Storytelling Dining Experience

The only Touring Cape Wine Master, Harry Melck, would meet with guests for a 2-hour tasting experience, either at a wine bar (such as Furneys in Noordhoek) or for dinner. Harry is a true storyteller and brings alive the stories behind the wine makers who continue to break the mould and pioneer the South African wine industry. A feature of Harry’s introductory experience is his own travelling pop-up wine cellar. Here you can taste a selection of his personally chosen wines that are not readily available, with unique stories of their own.

The cost includes Harry joining for an enhanced tasting experience of around 2 hours or for dinner (in the city, peninsula or Constantia); excludes trips into the winelands and the cost of Harry’s dinner, for guests' own account.
