Hoy House Hermanus
A multi-faceted space that offers expansive open spaces where you can connect with nature and loved ones, as well as private nooks to connect with self.
Hoy House is a refreshing addition to Hermanus's holiday villa offerings. Named after the historical Hoy Hill (Hoy’s Koppie), that it was built on, this spacious and airy abode serves as a canvas for the owner's creative flair, combining classic contemporary architecture with modern interiors and eclectic, sometimes tongue-in-cheek décor. The result is a sense of theatrical yet sophisticated fun that invites guests to relax, smile, and feel at home.
Enter the house from the well-kept garden to see a unique and creative hallway decorated with original art. From the hallway, turn left to find the guest rooms or turn right towards the living area, dining area, kitchen and lounge with inviting furniture and garden views.
The four en-suite bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests and children are welcome! The large, sparkling pool and sprawling gardens provide ample space for children to run and play, while adults can enjoy the indoor bar and relaxing outdoor areas. With a state-of-the-art security system and secure parking, Hoy House ensures peace of mind for all guests.
Whether you're looking for a tranquil escape or an adventure-filled holiday, Hoy House in Hermanus is the quintessential family villa, perfect for guests of all ages. Embrace the beauty and excitement of the Overberg Walker Bay with a stay at this remarkable coastal home.
Hoy House is situated within walking distance from vibey original village of Hermanus, an old-feel yet ‘2024-mode’ tourist town with modern infrastructure and a wide selection of inspiring shops, eateries, cafes, coffeeshops and restaurants that are full of character, yet upmarket.
This is the whale watching capital of the world on your doorstep! Southern right whales, Bryde whales and Humpback whales migrate here every year from June to December to calve and mate in the sheltered waters of Walker Bay. There are several whale-watching companies that offer boat trips but as they come so close to the shore, you can even spot them from the many vantage points along the cliffside. This is a real whale-centric town, it even employs a Whale Crier who announces whale sightings from the clifftop every time a whale is spotted.
Come to wonder, ponder and engage with nature.
Rest. Restore. Explore.
