Cape Chestnut is a self-catering holiday home located in the well-known coastal town of Hermanus. This house is ideally located a drive from various whale watching spots, town centre and attractions.
The Mid -Twentieth century decorated double-storey home can accommodate 9 persons, and comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a guest toilet. The main bedroom has a queen-size extra length bed, and the second and third bedrooms each have a queen bed; these 3 rooms have access to 2 separate neatly renovated bathrooms, with showers, and the guest toilet. The fourth bedroom is furnished with 1 queen-size bed an extra double sleeper and features an en-suite bathroom with shower.
The open-plan, super-equipped kitchen contains a fridge, a microwave, a large oven with an Italian gas stove, and ample modern appliances to use. The flow from the kitchen is towards the large well decorated living area with cosy fireplace and this leads to the inside dining area and out to the deck, with sea views towards Gansbaai and Grotto. On this spacious patio lazy mornings and wine-down afternoons can be spent on the charcoal patio furniture.
On the private Southern side of the house is the large outside braai/barbeque patio equipped with a 10–12-seater patio dining table with amazing views towards the Fynbos rich Hermanus mountains. The patio leads to a fire pit for starlight evenings and this flows towards a flat spacious lush Fynbos Garden for easy entertaining and kids to enjoy some outdoor energy time. The patio is well equipped with 3 braais: fire-, gas- and charcoal.
To perfect the lazy days and starlit nights a wood-fired Kol-Kol hot tub at the braai patio, perfects the scene for lazy wine holidays.
The house has ample parking for up to 6 cars.
In addition, Cape Chesnut is located a few minutes from Blue Flag Grotto Beach, within 5 km from Hermanus Golf Club and restaurants and shops in the town centre, 10 km from the Hemel en Aarde Wine Route, and approximately 112 km from Cape Town International Airport.
